McAlpin Conroy Announces Firm Name Change

McAlpin Conroy is proud to announce that the firm has changed its name to McAlpin Tanner Marcotte acknowledging the significant contributions of the firm’s newest partners, Tyler J. Tanner and Daniel S. Marcotte.

 

Richard McAlpin, the firm’s managing and founding partner, is a highly skilled litigator and is one of only a handful of Florida lawyers certified in both Civil Trial law and Admiralty & Maritime law. His 30-plus years of trial experience has proven valuable in defending a wide range of maritime disputes at both the state and federal level. Richard holds the highest attainable rating, “AV”, from Martindale-Hubbell.

 

Partner Tyler Tanner, a seasoned trial lawyer, is board certified in admiralty and maritime law by the Florida Bar. He is particularly skilled at handling passenger and crew claims, products liability matters, collisions, cargo claims, marine insurance, salvage, and the enforcement of maritime liens. Mr. Tanner is also an adjunct professor of Admiralty Law at Florida International University College of Law.

 

Partner Daniel Marcotte is an accomplished litigator who has successfully handled complex maritime litigation, the defense of marine insurance claims, and general commercial disputes in both state and federal court in jury and bench trials, as well as in international arbitration proceedings. Mr. Marcotte has also briefed several cases in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
